5 May 2017, Vapi, Gujarat

Through GIZ’s project on Sustainable and Environment-friendly Industrial Production (SEIP), SINTEF is providing support to strengthen the role and acceptance of co-processing as an option for sustainable waste management, resource conservation and reduction of greenhouse gases in India.

SINTEF is a leading research institute has been engaged with an objective to demonstrate high thermal substitution rate by co-processing of refuse derived fuels from municipal solid wastes, demonstrate the destruction of hazardous chemicals in cement kilns and feasibility of utilization of construction and demolition wastes in cement production.

A team of experts constituting Dr. Christian J. Engelsen, Senior Research Scientist, SINTEF, Mr. Palash Kumar Saha, Research Scientist, SINTEF and Mr. K.
