Second Project Advisory Committee Meeting, Haridwar

The second meeting of Project Advisory Committee (PAC) for 'Sustainable and Environment-friendly Industrial Production' (SEIP) project was organised at SIIDCUL’s Regional Office in the Integrated Industrial Estate (IIE), Haridwar on 19th April, 2017. This committee has representatives from SIIDCUL, Pollution Control Research Institute (PCRI), APM (Association of Pharma Industries) and individual industries. The meeting was attended by 09 officials to monitor, review and advice on the project progress so far and activity plan for the next quarter under the SEIP project.

During the meeting, progress under each of the project activity was discussed. The following points were discussed at length between the participants and the SEIP team during the course of the meeting:

  • Installation on online monitoring system at individual industries
  • Usage of treated water for gardening and landscaping purposes within the industry premises.
  • Criteria for selection of industries under Resource Efficient Cleaner production (RECP) initiative
  • Upgradation of CETP/ETP to ZLD
  • GIS mapping of the industrial estate

The PAC members have ensured their active participation in the upcoming month long activities on environmental drive in SIIDCUL Haridwar and appreciated the SEIP progress so far.
